JUST ANOTHER JOB INTERVIEW

- Buat gue, job interview itu seperti menyiapkan sebuah package yang bagus buat diri kita. Hampir sama seperti CV dan resume. Menyiapkan sebuah bungkus yang baik, sehingga kita terlihat seperti orang yang paling pas buat pekerjaan tersebut. Berikut ini adalah interview teraneh buat gue. Yet, I wish to work for this company and in the specific industry -

First Interview
Ketika kbanyakan perusahaan menghujani interviewee mereka dengan beberapa pertanyaan yang sulit dijawab dan menjebak, perusahaan ini cuma punya satu pertanyaan. Sisanya, mereka bercerita tentang diri mereka sendiri. Yet, it is not a mere company presentation, the one question decides your career.

Can u tell me about yourself?*can you be less open-ended, please
Well, I am Bimo, I am handsome, good-looking..annddd errr charming. *nguareppp

Ok it's not my real answer. My answer is more concise and more respectable than that.

Then, I was called up by the technical manager to come to the plant. He said he wanted to discuss something with me. Hmmm.

Second Interview
"Hei, How are you?"
"Fine, and you?"
"Fine. Ok, Bimo, please have a seat"
"Thanks"
"Ok, How was it"
".." *Can u be less open-ended. What the hell are you talking about?
"Are you really want to work in this industry and with us?"
"ooo, of course. You know it since we have a brief chat before the interview. Remember?" *OOOOOO itu...bilang kek!
"Well, I remember. That's what I think. I know you really wish to work with us, be a part of our design team, and you really know about this industry"
"I thank you if you think that way" *tell me do I get the job?
"Ok, I would like to offer you the job. I see you have the right attitude. You have ur degree but the most important is you have a good attitude. it's your persistence, your perseverance and your proactiveness that get you this job. That's the attitude that I want you to bring to this place. So, how is it?"
" Wow, thanks a lot. I will not dissapointed you." *yippie. But how do u know my perseverance? Do u know how persevere I am trying to convince my last girlfriend to stay with me? heheheheh
"Ok, so now I let the HR people settle the contract with you."
"Thank you very much"
"Welcome aboard, Bimo"

In all of a sudden, seorang engineer dateng lalu menyapa.
"Hei, Bimo, how are you?"
"Oh hi, fine, thanks" *Who are you?
"He told you everything ?"
"Yes" *honestly, who are you? have we meet before?"ok, welcome aboard"

Nah seorang yang gue gak tau menyapa dan sok akrab. Asik juga nih company kayanya. Setelah dia pergi ada satu yang sangat menggelitik di kepala gue. The technical manager has earrings and always wear jeans, shirts (dia pake polo shirt dan kaos dalem) and sneakers. Gue akhirnya nanya.

"Do you always dress like this?"
"For me, it's an engineer dress. We need no shiny shoes. We do the "real" work. The "real" thing"
"Ok so, a polo shirt, jeans, and sneaker"
"Yep gel up ur hair, to add a lil' bit of style and earring if you want to"
*i'm just smilling. In my mind, I know someone who will be really happy to see me in this kind of dress.

- ah proses interview yang aneh. One question. Ah I don't care. I got the job that I want. Moga2 gak ada masalah dengan permit. Makasih buat yang udah doain -
