I HATE NEW YEAR

I hate new year. I really do. Gw tidak melihat sebuah arti yang signifikan dari hari 1 Januari. Buat gue taun baru artinya akan ada acara selamat tinggal taun..., selamat datang .... di TVRI, ada acara acara pesta/ pentas live di seluruh dunia. To certain extent berarti nginep di hotel/ villa sekeluarga. Tapi bukan arti 1 Januari itu sendiri yang istimewa buat gue. Salah menulis tanggal (lupa kalo taunnya udah beda).

Gw sendiri gak keberatan kalo tanggal 1 Januari kita tidak libur (dan liburnya diganti untuk tanggal final Piala Champions ato NBA Finals). I don't get the importance.

Yep. Buat beberapa orang itu menjadi sebuah ceremony untuk membuat new year resolution. Well, buat gue sih gue gak butuh new year buat resolution. Sama seperti meminta maaf pada hari raya lebaran. Kita minta maaf saat menyadari kesalahan kita dan perlu meminta maaf pada orang yang disakiti. Bukan hanya pada hari lebaran. Lebaran buat gue seharusnya adalah sebuah pesta besar yang kita rayakan bersama sama. Sebuah pesta besar atas kemenangan kita melawan hawa nafsu.

Buat gue the NEW YEAR almost the same with the OLD year. (It turns old inevitably). The greed, the injustice, the wars, the pollution, the stupidity, the bomb still there. There is nothing new about the NEW YEAR. Jarang sekali gue melihat things improved in the NEW YEAR (yeah i am pessimistic). Future...is seldomly improved in the NEW YEAR.

I do not know whether the problem is with the NEW YEAR or is it something that i've put in my MSN display name yesterday " The problem with the future is that it keeps turning into the present" ... :)
